Will our referring partners have to stop using their current workflows to send us referrals?
No. They can continue using their existing tools and workflows. Faxes and emails are sent just like normal, and we ingest them into your centralized Hatch queue on the receiving end. Staff can also drag and drop referrals from other portals or email into Hatch; our AI will extract the relevant info and create the referral, syncing with your EHR.
Do I have to manually go into my EHR to close out a referral after completing it in Hatch?
No. Our integration allows you to add completion notes and automatically move the referral into a designated “Closed” bucket in your EHR, removing the need for double work.
Do you take documents out of our EHR, creating compliance risks?
No. We never take anything out of your EHR. We mirror it and push data into the EHR. The documents stay in your EHR to maintain compliance and continuity.
How will our clinical teams know what’s happening with patient referrals if they aren’t being managed in the EHR?
Hatch pushes all relevant activity to the referral’s activity notes in your EHR so that there is a clear log of what’s been done on a referral.
Can we automate communication with patients and referring providers?
Yes. The platform can send automated notifications via text message to patients confirming receipt of the referral. We can also push direct URL links to the patient prompting them to self-schedule once the referral has been processed. For referring providers, the platform features a multi-stakeholder messaging system where you can communicate with providers, case managers, or adjusters directly within the referral case.
